when I use dos_system(), I get the annoying command prompt window popping up each time... is there a way to suppress the command prompt window? (keep it from popping up?) Thanks in advance.
system() will not open the window, but the possible drawback is that the WR script will continue with the next command after starting whatever your system() command launches. Therefore, if it is important that the DOS command/program finishes before your script continues, you either need to use system() followed by your best guess at a wait() command, or else bite the bullet and use dos_system().
