    Re: Problem with WinRunner 6.0

    As I got from these forum and help from Mercury, you need to update your Winrunner version to 7.5, or ask the patch from Mercury.
    I got patch and now I haven't such problems.
    Also Mercury said that update from 7.05 to 7.5 is free, so try to contact with them

    Problem with WinRunner 6.0

    User venkat30 (venkat30@yahoo.com.nospam) posted:

    I am having a really buggy problem with WinRunner 6.0. I know that
    this is quite common a problem

    The problem is this code

    set_window ("mic_unknown_class", 4);
    obj_mouse_click ("Internet Explorer_Server", 668, 319, LEFT);
    obj_mouse_click ("Internet Explorer_Server", 146, 128, LEFT);
    set_window ("Shell DocObject View_2", 17);
    obj_mouse_click ("Internet Explorer_Server", 375, 284, LEFT);
    set_window ("Shell DocObject View_3", 29);
    obj_mouse_click ("Internet Explorer_Server", 458, 336, LEFT);
    obj_drag ("Internet Explorer_Server", 1018, 240, LEFT);
    obj_drop ("Internet Explorer_Server", 1018, 479);

    Inspite of enabling the Web Test Add-in, inspite of reinstalling and
    making a fresh install of WinRunner 6.0.. When I record a process,
    the TSL is generated in the above fashion?

    Any fixes

    Thanks

    Hi Venkat,
    We are also using 6.0.
    Try these
    Download the patch for ur browser.
    Run WInrunner before starting the browser.
    Configure the objects.
    This has solved most of our problems
    I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

    Hi

    Open Winrunner before opening your browser. Then I think you will be all set
    with the buggy problem.. Delete your previous script and record a new one...

    Lemme know if it helps

    Cheers

    Yes there is. If you want to use IE 6.0, you need to either upgrade to a
    later version of WR -or- get the appropriate patches from the MI site.
