In a compiled function I am writing I need to be able to ascertain
whether a specific pop-up exception is on or off at the start of the
function. I tried ' rc = exception_off("Message") ' in the hope that
exception_off would return E_OK if it actually turned the exception
off, and E_ITEM_NOT_FOUND ( or some other value ) if it didn't.
However, what I get from this if the exception in question is already
off is a message box telling me I have given exception_off and llegal
Any ideas ?
Re: exception status
Because turning it on twice in a row doesn't cause an error, simply turn it on before turning it off. This will ensure that it's turned off without error, regardless of whether it's on or off before execution.
