Greetings all, My friend is trying to start a new project working
with web apps, and since all I've worked with is application testing,
I'm not much help. So we're hoping someone could tell us how -when
running a test- to get winrunner to not halt a test when an object is
not found, and instead just send an error to the results file and
continue on testing. The test, BTW, is checking for links that may
or may not be present, and whether or not they work.
If you are looking a the case where an object does not appear then there is=
no problem at all. You can make the test fail at any check for an object b=
y simply asking:
...stop the test
...do what you wanna do
You can use a GUI checkpoint if you like, or also exception handlers.
There is a variety of options for your question.
Regarding web link not found you can use the function:
to check a broken link.
Hope it helps.
