-Reading contents of .UFF file using WinRunner
User (firstname.lastname@example.org) posted:
In my application I want to verify the input values with the values those
appear in preview of the item.
The preview is done using UFF file format. Is it possible to have this kind
of verification using WinRunner. I don't want to use Bitmap verification
How should I go about it.
This interaction is like having interaction with ActiveX controls but UFF
is not exactly the activeX control.
Neither we can read UFF files as normal text files.
Can anybody give a try for it?

Re: -Reading contents of .UFF file using WinRunner
First, make sure you have a correct .UFF file to be used as expected results. Then use file_comare to see if the actual results match.
file_compare can be used with binary , or any other type of file (does a byte comparison). Don't expect the wdiff utility in the WinRunner results to yield any usefull info - it will try to interpret the files as ascii.
