Getting data from object, and check corresponding checkbox
The windows application I am testing has a screen of formatted data(rows/columns) with checkboxes.
Winrunner does not record the screen as a table but as a panel.
Is there anyway I can get the data from the object and check its corresponding checkbox.
Ideally I would like wr to recognize the panel object as a table.
The data size is irregular so if I record the panel as a virtual table I do not get the desired result.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....
Re: Getting data from object, and check corresponding checkbox
You don't say if the text or table is in a 'named' window. If it is, you can search for specific text with win_find_text. If it's found, the command will return the coordinates of the found text. You can then retrieve the text using win_get_text, inserting the coordinates from the previous operation. Sounds lengthy, but you can search an entire window that way.
