1. Minimise all the windows before invoking your application.
2. Invoke your application and then set the current window active.

I have found you need to use both TSL statements below in the order shown. This has solved all the problems I used to have with a Window Not having correct focus.
I know that the recorder does win_activate first, but that is wrong...
set_window ( "logicalNameOfWindow", 15 );
win_activate ( "logicalNameOfWindow" );
The above 2 TSL statemants make sure the Window is Active, at the top of the z-order, that input is sent to that Window, and the GUI map points to the correct part of the GUI map to recognise objects in that Window.
