Re: WR 7.5 license method

Floating licences are those supplied by a license server and can be
aqccessed by any PC on the network. This is different to what you
appear to have, ie. one fixed licence per PC.
I suggest that you look at your license requirements. For instance do
you use WR on all your PC's with a fixed WR license at the same time?
For example if you have 10 PC's with fixed WR licences (for which you
pay 80000) you may only use 5 at the same time, in which case you
would only need a 5-user floating license (for which you will pay
60000); in this example you will actually save money.

Please explain 7.5 license method
From the sound of things, size does matter...
We are a small shop that uses a lab for all our testing.
The machines we use are rebuilt on a daily basis.
Mercury told us we would have to 'upgrade' to floating licenses.
The kicker was that, it was a 50% increase, thats right 50%
eg 8000 to 12000 per.
Needles to say we are not going to upgrade at this time.
And it's all I can do to get the maint. paid now....
