Synronization on Java objects fails
I've run into a problem writing scripts for a Java application. The application is compiled in 1.4 and I have the latest java add-in. The problem I encounter is that certain functions fail. For example win_wait() function fails to find the window even though the correct name is in the command. However a set_window() or a win_exists(). Other objects within the window have similar problems; for example button_check_info() and occassionally button_press(). Does anyone have an idea what may be causing this?
Re: Synronization on Java objects fails
I've never worked with WinRunner, but I'm working with qtpro (a Mercury's tool) and I have similar problems. If you can't detect a window, you can try to wait other event that you can detect (like another window or object appear, was dissabled, ...), and used it to syncronice the test. About the problem with button_press(), tried to put the focus on the button before the click (I suposse there are a function gain_focus() or similar). Look on QuickTest forum, the QTman's topic 'Java Application' and my topic 'java button problem', they can help you.
