    Re: How do I refer object in web testing

    First of all, it is very important that you open WinRunner BEFORE you open any browsers. If a browser such as Internet Explorer was open prior to openning WinRunner, it is possible that WinRunner will not recognize the web objects, since WinRunner is buggy.

    to reiterate:

    - Close all apps.
    - Load WinRunner.
    - Open Browser.
    - Enjoy.

    Re: How do I refer object in web testing

    As far as accessing objects, it's important to know what kind of object you are working with. Even if the object is a web text field or button, you can use the edit_get_text() or button_press() type methods with it. However, if you are trying to manipulate web images, hyper links or html tables, then you will have to use the web_ functions.

    Re: How do I refer object in web testing

    I am too not getting all the objects like links, buttons etc under the html_frame (how to learn all the objects below the frame).

    e.g

    set_window("Mercury Interactive Home Page", 10);
    web_link_click( "Products" );

    Note: trying to use IE 5.5 with Winrunner6.0

    Please advise.

    How do I refer object in web testing

    I am testing web application.I have added "Web Test" in my Add-Ins.

    When I try to add any object in GUI map file it adds frame. How do I refer any object in web function.
    e.g. web_obj_get_text ("Products","#5", "#3", text, "Mercury", "browser",1);
    Here "Products" is an object

    I think all the objects are Web objects on my frame.
