Does WinRunner affect Internet Explorer?
I am testing a brower based application using IE 5.5.
One of the key features of this app is a GIS/mapping component that locates vendors ect. based on address/incident location data that the user enters. The mapping software incorporated into the application is provided by a company called MapInfo.
During testing, the mapping functionality works on our benchmarch system which is a Windows 98 machine without WinRunner/TestDirector installed.
Mapping does not work on our testing machines which have WinRunner(web add in)andTestDirector installed. This is the case even if the Mercury tools are not opened.
Can this difference be attributed to Mercury tools being installed?
Re: Does WinRunner affect Internet Explorer?
Anything is possible.
Why don't you take your benchmark system, add WinRunner, and see if it starts to fail?
