Calling file(Datapool) residing in another script folder....in Te
User Makam, Krishna (firstname.lastname@example.org) posted:
We are using WinRunner7.01, TestDirector 7.2 .. Web based application
Our TD server is at a remote location. We have uploaded our scripts from the
TD client. When we run the test it downloads the scripts
from remote TD server to our local machine with GUI files and data files.
Now the problem is that I am referring a datafile residing in Script2 from
"[TD]\\system\\High Level Folder1\\High Level Folder2\\Script1\data1.xls"
The above path does not identify the data1.xls which is there in Script1
Could anybody please acknowledge the solution ASAP.

Re: Calling file(Datapool) residing in another script folder....in Te
try setting DirectFileAccess, ie you will then access the TD database instead of downloading the scripts:
In the registry set the value of DirectFileAccess to "Y". You find the key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Mercury Interactive>TestDirector>Testing Tools>WinRunner>DirectFileAccess.
Launch a test from TD and check the test's path (in the Properties). USe this path for your test data file.
