JREs and the Java Add-In
Our Java product is currently developed using 1.3.0, but we are also close to release with our 1.3.1 product. When doing some trials with WinRunner, I found that if I changed JRE the Java Add-In could no longer recognize the application. If I reinstalled the Add-In, it then downloaded the relevant patches for the JRE on my machine and it worked. However, using different patches of JRE 1.3.1 (01 - 03) required re-installs as well.
Since a great deal of testing will be performed comparing the performance of the application under different JREs (especially considering the memory management improvements made in 1.3.1) I was wondering if anyone knows of a way of switching JREs within the Java Add-In without hefty re-installs?
Re: JREs and the Java Add-In
Did you try using the Java Add-In configuration tool (from the start menu)?
Can you get your hands on WinRunner 7.5 Java Add-In (With WinRunner 7.5)?
It seem to work better with multiple JDKs installed on one machine.
