I have a problem with the syslistview32 listbox in winrunner, in that it won't select certain items in a resultset in the listbox.
I tried this temp solution to change the GUI configuration or load this code into a startup script:
set_record_attr("syslistview32", "class attached_text", "MSW_id", "index");
And then use the obj_mouse_click solution to pick what I want in the listbox using the co-ordinate method. this works to an extent, as long as the resultset in the listbox is not too big.
Problem is now, I'm stuck at the moment where the syslistview32 box has scrollable results and the obj_mouse_click doesn't work in selecting what I want using co-ordinates.
The list_select_item is the only syntax that will work in this case, but it just won't select what I want either. (can't find the GUI object or selects the wrong item).
Has anyone any other suggestions on how I can get winrunner to select in the syslistview32 listbox using list_select_item("syslistview32name", "#?");
?? <tearing hair out>
Re: syslistview32 problem
U'll have to create your own functions if u want to select the item from the tree by their name.
if u do it by row then there is a very high probability of your tests failing if there are additions to the Tree of which i am sure there are ....
