I am testing an web based application in which i have a wrapper on my Database(Be that SQl or Oracle). The problem is that i am doing some manipulation on the data from the Web UI & data gets saved to Database. Now this data in database has to be read by my product.I export the data from the database to my product by invoking scripts which export the data to my product & save as flat files.Using winrunner i am able to automate upto here.My question is that i have to tell winrunner to read the data from the flat files & if possible compare that with my standard set.Pl note that data which i have to compare might be only one row or more "~" delimited. Is this possible & how.Any help would be appreciated. Also is it possible to give runtime arguments to winrunner scripts ??(During Playback)

you can use file_compare to compare the files. The only drawback with file_compare is that date stamp files will fail but if you can strip out the date stamp you should be fine.
