    Blue Screen of Death

    User tcharbon47 (tcharbon@foliage.com.nospam) posted:

For the last two evenings I have run a stress test against an
application, in a Windows NT 4.0 environment. Each morning, I find
that my system has the BSOD. My inclination is that this is being
caused by the application under test and not WinRunner. Does anyone
know of any WinRunner BSOD problems under NT 4.0?

Does the application use device drivers, if so, I would assume it's the app=
under test. I don't know of any WinRunner BSOD problems.

    Re: Blue Screen of Death

Black Screen of Death = HardWare Failure
Blue Screen of Death = Device Driver /Ring0 Process conflict with another D_D/R0_P.

Odds are a device driver is causing the blue screen of death. Common causes, specialized video drivers (have you tried generic VGA/Super VGA driver?), specialized board interfaced (GPIB jumps to mind), etc...

I concur with the previous post, does your application take advantage of specialized hardware, device drivers, or specialized protocol stacks?
