The problem is, on a scheduled time, when scheduler
invokes WinRunner and the script, if the machine is
locked (by Ctrl+Alt+Del) then the script encounters
different windows errors and does not run properly.
But if the machine is not locked when script is
invoked, it just runs fine and produces the results. I

do you know any work around for this? I think i am
facing the same problem when i try to schedule and
launch a script from Test Director and execute it on a
remote maching where winrunner is installed.

Because WinRunner can not "see" the objects and/or windows the script is
looking for. Instead of locking your machine, just turn the monitor off.
This works fine.
