I would recommend as a starting point, adding some rc statements to check
the return codes. Make sure the statments are finding the target Db and the
correct table and field.
use rc = (...);
then you can do pause ("rc = "&rc);
and validate things.

I'm a newbie to WinRunner and my first real problem has been creating
a working database checkpoint...
To compound my problem, the documentation I have doesn't seem to
reference the problems I'm encountering.
The story goes...
When creating a checkpoint with the wizard (ODBC connection - new
query) a blank 'check database message' pops up. If I copy an
existing query (one I know works - created using Query Analyzer [MS
SQL Server 7.0]) thing go ok until the query is executed - neither
the expected values nor the actual values of my checks can ever be
I have the correct product versions for all applications & the ODBC
connection works fine.
If you have any suggestions or hints please let me know.
