Ignoring the Error box!
I'm having a few problems on a application I am trying to automate using winrunner7.
I have five boxes : "Edit, Edit_1, Edit_2, Edit_3 and Edit_4.
The first two always need to be populated, but in order to perform negative testing I have setup my DDT (xls file) to exclude data from each of the boxes. If the system detects that a box is missing data an error window appears with an OK button.
Does anyone know how I can string along a bunch of IF/ELSE statements to say, if a box is missing, ignore it, OK it and then write the error to a tl_step. Currently my script just hangs on the error window. I also have put in a exception on the error but that hasn't work either.
Re: Ignoring the Error box!
Put another column in your table which tells if errorbox is expected
in the script put a line like
... passed ...
