stopping test runs after AUT crash
I have just entered in Tools | Exception handling my AUT crash message box. When the crash box appears winrunner now presses the ok button(this is fine)
With Winrunner can you say for example in a batch test containing 3 tests do the following:
Run batch test
test2 AUT crashes half way through, on completion of the Ok button being pressed can we stop that test, clean up then recover the AUT and carry on with test3 in the batch.
Also is it possible to report which line in the script the AUT crashed on.
Re: stopping test runs after AUT crash
You can do the processing that you stated, but it will take some work. You will need to write your own handler that performs the clean up of the AUT and finally does a texit(). You'll have to set up a test framework where the master script calls each of your 3 child scripts, that way the texit() will cause return from your child script back to the master script, let you do any additional processing then continue on to the next child script. As for the line number where the script failed, look into the call_chain_get_attr() function.
