I am working with verifying that a portal page functions correctly. I have a page with a variable number of "portals" on it. Some of the portals have java portions while some are just common links and html.
I need to verify which portals appear on the page. I go to my "customize" page that controls the appearance of the portal for individual users. I deselect (uncheck) a few of the portals. Then I return to the main page to verify that only the portals that I have selected to appear on the page. (Am I making sense, so far?)
A checkbox on a configuration page should equal the appearance of a portal on the main page.
I can set it up no problem.
But when a portal does not appear, WR seems to think it is still there.
I have tried:
and a few others. Nothing works. The verification passes whether the objects are there or not.
Further investigation with the GUI map editor leads me to believe that the GUI map is getting confused and mapping the portals to other objects on the page. When I click "show" on the purposely missing object in the map editor, it "shows" an object that does appear on the page. If I put the object back, it "shows" the correct object.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Is my assumption about the GUI map getting confused a correct assumption? If so, How do I force it to think straight? If not, what's the problem?
