Problem with column name in excel
I'm trying to write to an excel file. Using this will work.
What was requested was that the column be the date. I have two problems with this. The column name does not want to write to excel if there are spaces in my string or if there are numbers. How can I get this statement to work?
ddt_set_val_by_row ("C:\\testfile.xls",1,"Feb 06 2002","Name");
I tried using sprintf but that didn't work either.
Thanks for your help!
Re: Problem with column name in excel
I believe that's a limitation of Excel: you cannot create a label with spaces. You'll either want to use underscores (Feb_6_2002) or use a different format (2002-02-06).
Oops! Just checked, it looks like "-" and "/" are not valid in labels either, so something using underscores (or no spaces at all) appears to be the only option. Something like "20020206", "06FEB2002", or "06_FEB_2002".
