Hi, gang. While writing a script yesterday I realized that part of it could fairly easily be converted to a general purpose function for getting the current date/time and converting it into a string in a user-specified format. Since I hate re-inventing the wheel, here it is to use as you wish so you don't have to re-invent it. I believe the code is sufficiently commented to understand how to use it, but if not, let me know here. Enjoy!
