I am trying to get the names of the menu items.
I am facing one problem, problem is menu items are based on position not
label based(guess problem lies here..) when I try to spy this menus, no
details are displayed.
WR script looks like this:
set_window ("NetM Administration - [Administrator]", 2);
menu_get_info("File","count",value); # I check the count of menu under file
# get the names of the menus under File
report_msg("menu is" menu);
I doubt if the menus are based are position, will we get the names
GUI of menu items looks like this:
"NetM Administration - [Administrator]".item_1:
"NetM Administration - [Administrator]".item_3:
When I tried to retrieve the values under File menu of an windows explorer,
it works fine!!!
So can some body give some info about getting the names of menu under file.
Thanks in advance,

I think you can control how winrunner identifies an object by
specifying the properties of a certain class used by winrunner:
Maybe you will find the class for your menu and configure which
properties of it will be used by winrunner to identify such an
object, for example, add label as a used property.
After you do this change, when you record script on this object, the
gui map items will be changed.
