Running tests from TD
User Yoram Vardi (firstname.lastname@example.org) posted:
Hello , I have a problem when running batch test from TD.
In my test set there is a main script that call other script.
Upto now everything is ok if I ran in batch mode.
The thing is my test set is composed of more than one call for the same
tests with different
data . for example :
This is how my main scripts looks like. Now, the problem is in the results
in the TD test lab.
If I run the test set only from winrunner I can see in the test results ,
all results for all tests , even if the test
is called more than one time it will be shown as a different test with the
But in TD it will only show the last result of the same test. That is due to
the fact that the test lab is occupied
only with one instance of each test.
Does anyone know a work around for this?

The only advice I can give you here is not to run WinRunner batch tests
through Test Director as this will cause problems. I have come to this
conclusion through my experiances in using TD and WR.
The best way is to treat each call in the WR batch script as a separate TD
automated test. Once this is done create a test run using these TD tests. To
run the tests simply select the test run and run it. Alternatively you could
select the run and then create a TD batch file and run that.
Hope this helps
