    WR support for .NET

    User Tom Eble (eble@onebox.com.nospam) posted:

Has anyone out there heard about MI's strategy for .NET? If the product
will be changing with whatever changes come in .NET?

    Re: WR support for .NET

I asked Mercury this a few weeks ago and below is the reply I got. This doesn't really tell me anything so I asked for more info and never got a reply. e.g. I would like to be able to call .NET dlls from WinRunner.

    RE : Service Request #1A-79J1

    Hi Sam,
Mercury interactive will hopefully support the Microsoft .Net technology by next summer.

    [OFF Topic]
    At least partially off topic.
If your .Net assembly (DLL) supports COM inter operability (i.e. you can address each object as a COM object) you can access it from QuickTest (that uses VBScript in which creating and accessing a COM object is a breeze)

The answer I received from our sales rep was WinRunner will support the .net structure and maintain the object oriented GUI through an add-in.
