How winrunner notify test results through attached e-mail with testdirector?
User (email@example.com) posted:
Please let me if WinRunner can automatically e-mail one or more
recipients as and when automated scripts are executed. The e-mail
should attach the results of the script(s)as txt files those are
running as batch.

How many ways to skin a cat? Or send Email.
Nice loaded question. Assuming TestDirector is not involved you can do a lot inside WinRunner. The solution depends on the buisness objective.
1) Write TSL to start the email application, fill out the dest, title and body and attach the report file. A lot of work.
2) Make a web page C:\MailError.html and use the mailto: to do a lot of (1). <More work>
3) define a script (Pearl, vbScript etc) that does the work and run it from WinRunner or just after. <More more work>
The Mercury answer is since the test is run from TestDirector the results are known to TestDirector. The defect should be booked and the email/workflow features activated. (Although at release 5.x email from TD was -- ah -- poor.)
Some how I don't think your objective is to test but it is to monitor an application. If so, there are better solutions.
Post a little more detail, like have you got TestDirector? Are you using Outlook? Is this a batch run? Whats the business objective?
