How to get the Time elapsed between the instructions ??
Using WinRunner7.0 how to get time elapsed between the execution of two instructions.
Say by cliking a save button in a page will take the cursor from arrow pointer to hour glass(busy sate), and resume back to arrow, in turn executing the operation( saving the entries made in the screen). How to get the time taken by the processor in completeing the save operation. This will help us to deal with synchronization problem.
Re: How to get the Time elapsed between the instructions ??
OK, I found this posting and it works well. So well that I want to make it a function and use it often.
What I'm doing is timing how long it takes for web pages to load through several processes and writing this to a log file.
In my startup script, I have the setup of it, like so:
extern long GetTickCount();
And in subsequently called scripts, I have:
TestTimer=((StopTestTimer - StartTestTimer)/1000);
This code appears multiple times so I thought I'd make it a function. But when I try to put it into a function in my startup script, it gives me variable declaration errors.
What would be the correct way to declare the function and/or it's variables so that it would work in scripts that are called from the main "Suite" script?
