Table/Keyword (3rd Generation) Automation Testing Questions.
I have read a few articles on 3rd Generation Automation testing and none of them seem to get too detailed on how the Testing Framework (what is developed) is supposed to interact with the capture/playback automation tools.
We currently have WinRunner, Astra, and XRunner sitting on the shelf ready for action, and we are trying to develop this architecture so we can have a fully robust automation framework. However, the lack of information is slowing us down. Please let me know if you have any input on this.
Re: Table/Keyword (3rd Generation) Automation Testing Questions.
I have developed my own key word driven tool called TurboTester that integrates with WinRunner for functional client/server testing (and unit testing if needed) . Email me at bqualter@ hotmail.com. I am coming out with a website at www.turbotester.com - it should be up by tomorrow. It should give you some more clues. There's "not much information" out there probably because there isn't one "standard" way of doing things! Because there are so many development tools it makes creating such tools very difficult.
