How do I insert data into a database? All the db_functions appear to
only retrieve data from a database.
I want to insert the timing values from the test results in
WinRunner into a database to measure trends.
You can always use connect to your database via an ODBC connection (if it is ODBC compliant) and utilize the call:
db_execute_query() and pass your insert statement to insert the records. It should return the rows affected by the update.
Check out that call and see if it helps. I would agree that if you want to later do trends analysis tat Excel and an data table is probably the method to use as you can use the power of Excel and a pivot table to graph your results.
Hope this helps ...
