class for text

Has anyone ever tried to recognize read only text (on web page) as an object
and assigning class and attributes to it?
Basically we have our developers assign id's to every text tag, and we want
to retrieve that id from the text. But the problem is, that WR doesn't treat
text as an object, so it doesn't have defined class.
I was thinking creating a virtual object, but there classes pre-defined in

If you turn on the GUI Spy and Show all properties, do you see the
class on the text?
If yes, you can then get WR to record the class property in the map
by configuring the GUI map... see the manuals for how to do this.
Then next time you record the text object, it will have class in the
map as well as label, etc.

That's the problem. If WR was capable of treating text as an object, it
would assign class to it. I guess I need to force WR to see the class for
text, but according to amount of answers I saw on this issue here (which is
1) this is not very doable.
P.S. as far as I know, every other automation tool out there is capable of
such task (not a complement to the MI)
