That was the first thing I thought of, but we do not really work
with a dB... that is the issue here. All of these datas go to a file on
a computer that is on a Plan-9 platform (if you have heard of it).
Basically the file is stored in a remote computer which understands AWK
scripting. There is not a way I can verify the data but to click on
update. perform a refresh on the page and then grab the values again...
you see where this is going??

I have not heard of Plan-9 platform. But if that remote computer is
connected to the network(intraNET), i think u can record through WR, that u
browse to that particular folder through n/w neighbourhood>>Entire
idea only.. I am not sure about GUI solutions . While testing one of our
telecom projects, it was required to check for whether backup is taken in a
remote system. I did what exactly i stated above...and then taking the
time,date(using get text) when the file was created. Might be this idea
might help u....
