When running simple WWW scripts which simply navigate a WWW site under W2K using IE 5.5 and Winrunner v7. The whole PC simply grinds to stop over the course of 30 seconds. Each action taken during the script so to cause the slowness.
The same script under v6.1 and NT flies as expected.
I have tried technical support they havent been able to shed any light on the matter. When I use Winrunner with other scripts that interact with MS-Dos and Unix sessions all works well as expected.
Has anyone else experienced problems with v7, IE 5.5 and W2K?
I haven't and I have been writing scripts on that platform for a while. Have you checked your resources? Perhaps you are running out. Are you running any other programs at the same time, like Lotus Notes, Word? These programs are resource heavy and will slow down WinRunner while it is running. It has even crashed my computer before. I would suggest closing everything that is not essential and try running WinRunner.
If that works then ask for more RAM and possibly a new processor.
I figure if you have the courage to get out of bed in the morning, then how bad can the day be.
