Webpage testing in different browsers using winrunner
how i can test the web page in different browsers using winrunner.
In IE winrunner captures all the GUI objects properties,images,links,content in frames etc....But in Netscape it captures only the GUI objects properties (ie. button,checkbox,dropdown textfield etc... not links and image properties)
How i can test the images and links in netscape ???
pl. help me....

Which versions are you using for Netscape and WinRunner. I tried to record on Netscape 4.08 and WinRunner 7.0. I succeed with capturing links, images.
Plz. check following things before you start recording
1. Start Netscape browser after Winrunner
2. Make sure WebTest add in is selected and other add ins are de-selected
3. Record all GUI objects beforre you start recording.
Let me whether it has worked or not..
Secondly for checking web pages in different browers -- You should create different GUI maps for different browers and you can have same scripts , but you need to modify certain secions of the scripts as per the browser . For that you can have switch case ot if.. Else loos that will be executed based on which browser you are testing the web page. In this way you can minimise the scripting efforts.
