I have thought of it. Using a 3rd party tool like Exceed or XOnNet via Windows will work. What I wanted to know is if you know of tools that can be used in Unix/Linux itself to carry these automated tests in Unix itself.??
From what I was able to find out from them, there is no such solution in the Mercury product family.
It may be worth investigating Segue test products (www.segue.com) though.
Segue have/had QA Partner (test tool like WR) which ran on UNIX. I don't know if this was limited like XRunner (in that it couldn't do web testing), but its possible that they have a version of Silk (successor to QA Partner aimed at webtesting) which may do the job.
Other vendors may have offerings, but I don't know of them off-hand...
