WinRunner vs. e-Test suite
I don't want to be blasphemic... but what are the main differences between the Empirix e-Test suite and the WinRunner?
Re: WinRunner vs. e-Test suite
I've evaluated both.
The basic differences between the two are:
(1) e-test suite is a web-based automated test tool and WinRunner is more of a client/server tool, although it is capable of testing web apps with an add-in.
(2) e-test script is Visual Basic whilst WR is TSL (based on ANSI C)
(3) e-test uses it's own proprietary "browser" whilst WR uses any Browser.
Each has its own strengths and weakness.
