I'm a WinRunner rookie, and I have an application that is rather unstable. My current problem is in trying to add/update my GUI map. I have quite a few windows within the application that are only accessible through a shortcut bar. Don't ask me why, but they aren't accessible through any menu bar or right-click menu. WinRunner recognizes the entire shortcut bar, but not any of the individual shortcuts. Objects and windows subsequent to my clicking on the shortcut are picked up fine. Any suggestions on how the shortcuts can be pulled out of the bar? Thanks in advance...
Re: Shortcut bars
If you're working with WinRunner v5 or greater, you can define the individual shortcuts as virtual objects (cf. virtual object wizard) and have them mapped as buttons. The object is then defined as VIRTUAL in the GUI map with the appropriate x and y coordinates. In the scripts , you code "button_press("virtualObjectName");" in the normal fashion.
