I am working as a test engineer , i just started working on winrunner .
Can any one have any study material apart from help topic's .
I am facing problem in capturing a text in a pop up window , i tried to capture but during play back it show's error .
If you have any sample script's , send me please .

There's 2 methods. Best to use the function
where your GUI map contains the static text field within your popup
But if WinRunner doesn't recognise fields within the popup window,
then use the function from the menu dialog
create; get text; from screen area
and draw around the area to capture
which will create you a
statement with a comment indicating the text captured.
However - this doesn't always work - if it says "no text found" then
it means it doesn't recognise the font, and you have to use "font
learning" to add the font to the ones WinRunner knows - which is
rather fiddly - see the user guide.
