Accessing the source code of a web page
User Andre Lapchuk (firstname.lastname@example.org) posted:
Anyone know how to access the source code of a web page out of Winrunner, I
need to check for data being passed that is not visible on the web page
itself. I'd like to automatically access the View Source of the page and
check for some text.
Re: Accessing the source code of a web page
Just record the steps you would use to view the source - as in:
Click "View", then Click "Source" OR record using the hotkeys.
I am curious to know why you need to view the source for hidden data when you can capture the hidden data, usually with 'web_obj_get_text();' ?? This function may help you avoid much coding needed to parse a .htm file.
Let us know if the 'web_obj_get_text();' function works for you.
