I have to test the application developed using VB. In that i have objects like Text box, Combo box ...etc.,.
Step 1: I have recorded the test in Context Sensitive mode to test an application developed in VB.
Step 2: In that i have objects like Text box, Combo box( to display the values from master tables).I have selected one record from combo and finished the recording.
Step 3: I want to reuse the same script to test the remaining data in the combo. To do this what i have to do?
In other words, during the second run the system should select(pick) the next record available in the combo.
I have tried with obj_get_info(). But i could not succeed in that attempt.
Re: How to retrieve the next record in Combo box(VB)
To loop through the contents of a combo box, address the list items by index, rather than by label:
list_get_info ("MyVBList" , "count" , outItems);
for (i = 0 ; i <= outItems ; i++)
# construct the index string. When
# selecting listbox or combobox items
# by index, use '#n' as the item name.
# Remeber that the first item in a list
# is #0.
szItem = sprintf ("#%i" , i);
list_select_item ("MyVBList" , szItem);
Hope this helps,
