    Partial Bitmap checkpoint?

    User Steve Mathisen (scmathisen@hotmail.com) posted:

You can capture a bitmap for a portion of the screen. Determine which are is
most important to you and capture that. That seems to work well for me.

    Hello,

Is there any way to only catch part (or, exclude part) of a bitmap
    checkpoint for comparison purposes?

Say, for example, you have a clock embedded in a bitmap: I don't care
what time it is, I do care about the rest of the bitmap.

    Anybody ?

You can mask out parts of an image you dont want for instance the time in the clock image do a search for masking in the online manual.

    Hi,

If I use bitmap checkpoint in my test(which is a web test using IE), it
does not work on other machine as the IE toolbar is slightly different. I
cannot every time ensure the IE appearance wherever my test runs.
Is there any solution to this problem?

    Thanks,

If you are trying to use a bitmap checkpoint on the toolbar, you are going
to have to use something else. What are you trying to check on with your
    checkpoint?
