WinRunner & Display Settings & COM
I had a question: I was wondering how running the same scripts on multiple computers (laptop vs. pc work station) with different size monitors would affect WinRunner recognizing any objects, gif, etc.?? If the object should not appear depending on the screen resolution would it return an "object not found" error message even though the object is there (just off the visual screen) and it is already located in the GUI map editor??
Also, How does WinRunner Handle Compound Objects? For Example: .gif's using MouseOn & MouseOff properties. WinRunner may find one, but state the other is not found after script is run. Yet, both are listed in the GUI Map Editor? Therefore, reporting a failure when the application ran properly. Does anyone know how to get around this?
Re: WinRunner & Display Settings & COM
I've been a way from WR for a little while now, but I think the client should be transparent as long as your scripts were recorded in context sensitive mode. You would definitely have problems if you did any bitmap recording (or screen captures). There might be other factors though. You could try posting this message to the WinRunner forum.
