I asked this question in news groups, but did not have an answer. Maybe here I will be more lucky.
I wonder if someone has any experience with manipulating ActiveX from WinRunner. I have a web-based Java appication, that uses several ActiveX objects. I have the definition of methods and properties. When I use ActiveX_get_info() or ActiveX_set_info() it looks working, but when I use ActiveX_activate_method() it always returns E_OUT_OF_RANGE error, even if I call a method with a STRING parameter. What is wrong - my code or WinRunner or something else?
I have an idea that WinRunner works ONLY with ActiveX controls listed in Readme file, but I am not sure about it.
No. WinRunner works with any ActiveX control.
Mercury just implemented special context sensitive record/replay functions for the ActiveXs mentioned in the readme file.
Regarding your problem, I suggest you contact Mercury Technical support. I guess you are a registered customer, aren't you ?
From my own experience, they have an excellent support.
