Changing a Data Table Column Format
Does anyone know how I can change the format of a column in my data table programmatically?
Let me try and describe the problem...
I read a set of data from an encrypted source and write the value to a spreadsheet using the ddt_set* functions. One of the columns contains dates which because they are a string are shown in the data table as ="02/02/2009" in dd/mm/yyyy format. Now the problem arises because I have to sort the data table, using ddt_sort, according to the date but of course because the column format is of type string and not date then it doesnt't work.
e.g 02/07/2009 would be shown before 29/06/2009 using ddt_sort.
Re: Changing a Data Table Column Format
Have you tried ddt_sort? Since dates in an Excel spreadsheet are stored in numeric format, Excel sorts a date column correctly. It is possible that ddt_sort does the same thing. (I no longer have access to WR, so cannot test it).
