    testdirector

I am a newbie to testing, trying to get myself acquainted with the testdirector. I would like to know who is responsible for preparing the requirements, test plan, test scripts in TD. What would be my role as a tester.
    Thanks

    Re: testdirector

That really depends on your internal processes. I can only really say how i have used it.

Functional Requirements/Design Specs produced by Business Analyst/Developers in word documents. These are saved as attachments within the Requirements tab and requirements added to the tree view on this tab from the docs. Tests the written in Test Plan and related back to the Requirements the test(s) covers. These tests are then run in the Test Scripts area.

So in essence the Test Analysts role in this instance would be to produce the Requirements with TestDirector from the documents and write tests which relate to them.

    tdare,

Please do not post the same question twice - this is against forum rules.

I see that you are a student -You may get answers here and then find when you start your new job that they do things differently, there is no global way that responsibilities are assigned it will be dependent on the company and project(s) you work on.

I am leaving the post here and not moving to the Test Director forum as it seems to be more of a functional testing thread. If you disagree PM me
