Newbie QC 9.0 & QA Engineering Arena. Whats next?
Recently I was assigned to ramp up our QA/QC department.
I installed Quality Center 9.0 and my goal is to automatically test code of programs written on Visual C 6.0, Borland C Builder 4, and Visual Basic 6.0.
I installed QC 9.0 primarily to get a good hands-on, feel, and look on how to use QC 9.0 to report my developers issues with their code. I am definitely not using the email reporting functionality (at the moment). It might change but like in every other organization trying to keep the QA department independent from IT dept. Mainly I will be saving the reports and emailing them personally to my developer(s).
I guess I am stuck on what exactly I "import" (if its the correct jargon to use) in regards to code and test.
Before I test any code what add ins do I need to install on the machine running QC 9.0 in regards to VB 6, Visual C 6, and Borland C builder 4.
In addition, does anyone know a good book on how to for QC 9.0. The documentation that Mercury/HP has for customers is not for newbies. Anyone know of any seminars, training, etc available for QC 9.0 in the Denver area?
Thank you for reading and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.
