Test Director and Business Requirements
Good Morning - can anyone tell me if their BAs are using Test Director to store their requirements, and if so what the consensus is as far as whether or not they see this tool as helpful and beneficial? Or are QA folks taking requirements from BA written specifications and personally entering requirements into TD to then trace those requirements to scenarios/test cases?
Re: Test Director and Business Requirements
your post interested me, since the matter of how requirements are documented, and how requirements are related to test cases/scenarios is of interest to me
in my company, requirements are contained in requirements documents, not in Test Director. Us testers pull the requirements out of those documents, down to a very detailed level and record them in Test Director, where they're linked to test cases/scenarios
I must say this seems to me to be a bit inefficient, in that it would be better for those writing the requirements, to simply document them in Test Director in the first place.
