We have the problem to find changes, which have been made in one project (Rel.4.1) in the Test case-definition since date dd-mm-yy to catch those changes and implement them in the earlier copied test cases of the newer project (rel 4.2).
In the test plan there is indeed a field with the last change date ("modified"), but this is been changed, if someone executes the test case, too.
But we want to know only changes of the definition, not of the last execution date.
Every test case has in the test plan
the definition field,
the system defined fields
the user defined fields
the test steps
We want to know only, in which test cases have been made changes in the
• test steps
• some special user defined fields
and this since date dd-mm-yy
Do you have a possibility, to find a solution for this problem?
Going forward I would suggest you install a user defined field for changes, by whom, what, and when. Make them required so that when anyone opens the test they will have to indicate the change info. If they comply then you will have a record of changes to sort and filter against in the Grid View. As for now, I think you are out of luck. Maybe someone will have a suggestion, but TD can only go so far.
