i face a problem in testdirector after installing testdirector and when i try to
login it shows a message that the server is
not initialized, the iis was also installed
before installing testdirector, but still
i dont know what the application means by
"server not initialized" what i supposed to
do to solve this problem can anyone help me
i would be greatful to you.
i installed iis first and then i installed
the testdirector, then straight i went to testdirector and try to login where it showed
server is not initialized, then i have n't done
anything please give me some tips about setting
the configuration of the iis if there is any
in detail if you can or in high level
What version of TD are you attempting to install?
What does the TD Checker say is wrong?
What server platform are you using?

Installing TestDirector on a Web Server
Installing TestDirector on a Web server enables multiple users to access
TestDirector via a Web browser, after a single installation process. This
method also enables you to create shared default settings for all users.
➤ Use a dedicated server and a dedicated IIS installation for the TestDirector
Application Server. No other Web-based applications should be installed
or should be using the IIS installation that is dedicated to TestDirector.
➤ If you are using a database other than Microsoft Access, install the
database server software on a separate server from the one used by the
TestDirector Application Server.
➤ Install TestDirector by logging in to your Web server machine directly—
not through any remote utilities.
Note that to install TestDirector you must have full administrator privileges
on your Web server machine and full control privileges on the TestDirector
Verifying the TestDirector Server Components
After installing TestDirector, you can use the TestDirector Checker to verify
that the main TestDirector server components are successfully installed.
The TestDirector Checker is a diagnostic tool that tests many of the
TestDirector server components that TestDirector uses. Running the TestDirector Checker can pinpoint the cause of many server side problems
associated with accessing TestDirector.
The following components are verified by the TestDirector Checker:
Computer Verifies the computer name, domain name, and
Operating System Verifies the operating system and service packs.
Disk Space Verifies that sufficient disk space is available.
Verifies your IIS version, TCP port number, and
TestDirector virtual directories.
License Verifies your license number.
Domain Repository Verifies the existence and permissions of the
• TestDirector templates
• Default domain
• All domains on the TestDirector server
