At our business we are using Test Director 7.6, and have the server set to disconnect users if there is no activity for 15 min. My question is if the user is in the manual runner window executing a test, will the server disconnect them if they spend more than 15 min in the manual runner? Will activity in the manual runner be viewed as activity to prevent a disconnect? Or since there are no database updates or web requests, will any activity in the manual runner window be viewed as inactivity?
Re: TD Timeout
You have to be careful - to my knoweledge you will be logged out when you try to save the test run. We had a similar issue when some of our users where cutting and pasting from MS Word to TestDirector - TD did not recognize the fact that the user was actually working within the steps in a test script.
We raised this with Mercury but to my knowledge is is still outstanding.
